Hi, I’m Christina!
Hello friends! If you’re looking for some EASY, healthy, and delicious recipes that can feed your entire family with minimal effort, you’ve come to the right place!
In August of 2015, I graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a bachelors degree in Honors in Advanced Nutritional Sciences and completed the Coordinated Program In Dietetics. A couple of months later, I officially passed my national examination and became a registered dietitian. I have been working primarily with pediatric patients my whole career. In 2018, I got married to the love of my life and in 2021, we welcomed our first baby boy into this world!
I currently have a full-time job, I run this food blog, I am a wife and I’m a mom which means I stay BUSY! Now, in America, this is not unique, which is why I can probably assume that you likely stay busy too!
My recipes are literally made for people like YOU! People who are busy, people who want to prioritize their health. Those who want to feed their families nutritious and flavorful meals, but just don’t have the time or the desire to go above and beyond by cooking fancy, extravagant 50 step meals. Here you will find dietitian approved, easy and balanced meal and snack ideas for ages 6 months and up. You will also find quick and healthy recipes that can feed your entire family in under 30 minutes, healthy and balanced lunch box ideas, baby led weaning ideas, and make ahead “meal prep” recipes to make your life easier!
As a dietitian, I truly believe that all foods fit in moderation (unless, of course, you have a medical reason not to eat certain foods or you don’t tolerate certain foods). I personally do not subscribe to a certain diet or way of eating. I don’t refer to foods as “good” or “bad” because food has no morality. There is simply more nutrient dense and less nutrient dense. I aim to fill my diet with minimally processed foods that are more nutrient dense most of the time, however, I do allow myself to eat anything I want without restriction. As a dietitian and in my experience, it is extremely clear that those who restrict unnecessarily, end up with a poor and unhealthy relationship with food and for this reason, I choose food freedom. That being said, I do know that many people are not able to tolerate or medically can not have certain foods, as I have mentioned above, so here you will also find some vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and dairy-free options on my page as well!
Now that you’ve gotten through all that, I just want to say welcome! I’m so glad you’re here and I hope that you’re able to find some healthy and delicious recipes that make your life easier and will keep your family nourished and happy!
