Equipment

  • 1 Medium bowl
  • 1 Large Flat Plate
  • 1 Large Skillet

Ingredients

  • 1 Pound Ground Chicken or ground turkey
  • 4 Ounces Crumbled Feta or ¼ cup
  • 4 Ounces Fresh Spinach Finely Chopped (about 2 handfuls before chopping)
  • Salt & Pepper To Taste: Make sure not to over salt as feta cheese is pretty salty on its own!
  • Garlic Powder To taste
  • Italian Seasoning To taste
  • 1 Tbs Avocado Oil

Serve with:

  • Whole Grain Burger Bun: I used the Dave's Killer Bread Brand
  • Beefsteak Tomatoes Sliced
  • Butter Lettuce
  • Avocado Sliced
  • Ketchup
  • Diced and Air-Fried Sweet Potatoes: I used the Roots Brand Sweet Potato "Croutons"

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl combine your ground chicken or turkey, crumbled feta, finely chopped fresh spinach, salt, pepper, garlic powder and Italian seasoning, to taste. Using your hands, mix until everything in the bowl is well combined and all the seasonings are evenly distributed.
  • Using your hands, create four, even sized balls using the meat mixture and place them on a large, clean plate. Gently press down to create four separate patties.
  • Add in your avocado oil to a large skillet on medium heat and when the oil is hot, gently add in your chicken patties. Depending on how large your skillet is, you may need to cook 2 at a time. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until the outside of your patty appears to be a nice brown color and the inside of your patty reaches an internal temperature of 165 F.
  • Serve your patty on whole grain burger buns and your favorite toppings. Serve with a side salad or some diced sweet potatoes. Enjoy!
  • Hint: You can also turn these chicken feta spinach burgers into mini sliders or meatballs depending on your preference as well!
