These Dubai Chocolate Dates are absolutely divine and they make for the most delicious, healthy-ish sweet treat! You can bring these to any party or event or you can meal prep them to enjoy when you're craving a small delicious bite of something sweet!
Start by opening up your pitted dates and place them on a plate.
Add 2 teaspoons of butter to a small pan on medium heat. When the butter melts, add in your dry kataifi. Stir and cook for 2-3 minutes until the kataifi begins to turn golden brown and then turn off the heat.
Next, add in your pistachio cream or butter and tahini. Stir using a small rubber spatula to avoid scraping your pan until everything is well combined and then place mixture into a small bowl.
Add about 1 teaspoon of filling into the middle of each date.
Add your dark bittersweet chocolate chips into a small microwave-safe bowl along with your coconut oil. Microwave for 30 seconds and then stir. Microwave for another 15 seconds and stir. Repeat until your chocolate is nice and melty.
Use a spoon to drizzle the chocolate on top of each date.
Add your roasted pistachios to a bag, use a utensil to crush the pistachios into small pieces. Add the crushed pistachios on top of the dates. You can also add some of the dry kataifi on top as well!
Refrigerate for 45 minutes-1 hour until the chocolate is set or place in the freezer for 15-30 minutes. Enjoy!
Notes
Hint: Make sure not to overcook or burn the kataifi. The kataifi should be slightly browned but not super dark in color. Hint: Be careful not to burn yourself when you are heating up the chocolate. Use a rubber glove to carry the bowl and mix in between heating.Scroll up to see substitutions (including dietary restrictions), variations and storage tips!!If you try this recipe please dont forget to leave a rating and review! also don't forget to tag me on instagram or tiktok @easyeatsdietitian
