Easy & Healthy Garlic Pizza Toast

Healthy garlic pizza toast made with whole grain bread, cottage cheese, and mozzarella. Easy high protein snack or quick meal.

Ingredients
  

  • 8 slices Ezekiel bread
  • 3 tablespoon high-quality olive oil I like Graza
  • 3 large garlic cloves minced
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup cottage cheese I like Good Culture
  • 1 cup lower-sugar pizza sauce I like Rao’s

Optional Topping

  • mushrooms
  • uncured turkey pepperoni
  • olives
  • basil
  • peppers
  • cooked sausage

Instructions
 

  • Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Prepare the Bread: Arrange bread slices in a single layer on the baking sheet.
  • Make Garlic Oil: In a small bowl, mix olive oil and minced garlic. Brush evenly over each slice of bread.
  • Bake: Bake for 8 minutes until bread is lightly crisp.
  • Add Toppings: Spread about 2 tablespoons of cottage cheese on each slice. Add about 2 tablespoons of pizza sauce. Sprinkle about ¼ cup mozzarella cheese on top. Add your favorite toppings.
  • Bake Again: Return to oven and bake for another 8 minutes until cheese is melted.
  • Optional Broil: Broil for 1–2 minutes for a golden, bubbly finish.
  • Serve: Serve warm and enjoy your pizza toast.
