In a gallon sized plastic baggy, add your cubed chicken, garlic, soy sauce, honey, olive oil, and seasonings, to taste. Once you have added everything into the bag, remove the excess air and seal the bag. Use your fingers to massage/mix the marinade from the outside of the bag until everything is well dispersed.
I would recommend placing the bag in the fridge and letting the chicken marinade for at least 1 hour, however, if you only have 15-20 minutes, that will work also!
While you are marinating your chicken, you can prepare your side vegetable(s) and your whole grain carbohydrate/starch for your meal!
Once your chicken is marinated to your liking, remove it from the fridge. Set a medium pan to medium heat and pour the contents of your bag into the pan.
Cook chicken for at least 12-15 minutes or until your chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165 F. Make sure you are stirring in between to prevent burning and allowing for an even browning/searing on all sides.
Serve the chicken with your prepared sides! Enjoy!
Notes
*If you are interested in making this gluten free, try using coconut aminos as a substitute for the soy sauce!*I used frozen brown rice that I bought from Trader Joe's and prepared my rice in under 5 minutes! You are also welcome to make your rice from scratch or use another whole grain or starchy vegetable of choice, such as sweet potatoes!*I also made some green beans in the air fryer for this meal! I will work on posting that recipe very soon, but in the mean time you can check out green recipe below (you can skip the almonds for this meal)
