Instructions
Boil some hot water and pour about ¼ cup into a flat bottom bowl. Add in your salmon, skin down for about 30 seconds. Peel your salmon skin off and then slice your salmon into 1” cubes.
Add your salmon into a bowl with about ⅔ cup of soyaki sauce. Place in the fridge and let the salmon marinate until you get impatient. I did about 20 minutes.
Remove your salmon from the sauce and air fry at 400 for about 6-8 minutes. If you don’t have an air fryer you may also bake at 425 for about 8-10 minutes.
While your salmon is cooking, you can prepare your avocado by removing the pit, peeling and slicing it and also prepare the rice by microwaving it.
Assemble your bowl by first adding your brown rice, followed by your salmon, then your edamame and avocado slices. Optional: add a small drizzle of soyaki and top with sesame seeds if using. Enjoy!
Hint: If you don't have a Trader Joe's nearby, feel free to make your own soyaki sauce, you can use this recipe by Fancy Apron.
