Ingredients
All you need to make my super simple baby yogurt recipe is:
- Plain whole milk yogurt (or plain Greek yogurt for extra protein)
- Fruit puree (I used the flesh of 3 small mangos — ripe and juicy!)
See recipe card for quantities.
Instructions

- Step 1: Puree the fruit
Add your mango to a high-powered blender or food processor and blend for 15–20 seconds until smooth. You can sub in banana, blueberries, strawberries, or even a combo for new flavors!

- Step 2: Blend with yogurt
Add your cup of yogurt to the blender and pulse a few times just until everything is combined. The goal is a smooth, creamy texture your baby will love!

- Step 3:Pour and serve
Carefully pour into reusable baby food pouches, small containers, or ice cube trays for portioned servings. Serve immediately or store for later!

Substitutions
- Use Greek yogurt for a thicker texture and more protein
- For a dairy-free version, sub with coconut yogurt (check for added sugar!)
- Add chia seeds for extra fiber (for toddlers 12 months+)
This recipe is already gluten-free and vegetarian as is.
Variations
- Try it with other fruits like banana, peach, apple sauce, or strawberry puree
- Add in peanut butter for a healthy fat source and additional calories!
- make your own baby yogurt melts by using a piping bag or pouch and add¼ teaspoon at a time of this mixture on a parchment lined baking sheet and then freeze!
Hint: 1 large banana = 1 cup mashed, 2 medium ripe peaches = 1 cup pureed, 1 large apple=1 cup puree (or use unsweetened apple sauce in a pinch), 8-10 medium strawberries= 1 cup puree, 1.25 cup blueberries= 1 cup puree.

Christina's Dietitian Tip
Introducing plain yogurt early in your baby's diet is a great way to add calcium, protein, and live cultures for healthy digestion! Mixing in real fruit like mango keeps it naturally sweet, without the need for added sugar — plus it’s a perfect way to introduce allergenic foods like dairy in a safe, delicious form. Serve with mashed avocado or oatmeal for a well-rounded breakfast or snack!
Hope you and your little one enjoy this creamy, naturally sweet baby yogurt recipe as much as we do! I love that you can make different flavors and that it's also a healthy snack for toddlers, too! It's always a good idea! Let me know what fruity combos you try next time!
