    Ingredients

this is a close up of my trader joe's holiday hash bowl with drizzled honey mustard sauce
    • Trader Joe’s Sweet Apple Chicken Sausage, Sliced: serves as the lean protein source for the dish.
    • Trader Joe’s Holiday Vegetable Hash: serves as the fiber source for the dish and offers a cozy and unique fall flavor!
    • Trader Joe’s Organic Jasmine Frozen Rice: serves as the complex carbohydrate for the dish to add fullness to the meal.
    • Avocado Oil: a high quality, heart healthy neutral oil that offers healthy fats.
    • Salt & Pepper: basic seasonings that enhance the flavor of the dish

    For the dressing:

    • Dijon Mustard: sharp and tangy flavor
    • Honey: adds additional sweetness to the dish and pairs nicely with the mustard
    • Garlic Cloves, Minced

    See recipe card for quantities.

    Instructions

    1. Pre-heat your oven to 400 F and set your rack to the middle position.
    2. Start by slicing your sweet apple chicken sausage into ½ inch slices.
    3. Add your vegetable hash and sliced sausage to a large-xl baking sheet. Drizzle with avocado oil and season with salt and pepper to taste. Toss until everything is well combined and the seasonings are evenly distributed. Bake for for 20-25 minutes or until the vegetables are softened.
    4. While your hash and sausage are cooking, prepare your dressing. Grab a small bowl, add in your dijon mustard, honey, minced garlic and a pinch of salt and pepper and mix until it’s well combined.
    5. Heat your frozen jasmine rice according to the instructions on the packaging.
    6. Assemble your bowl: Add in your cooked hash, sausage, rice and then drizzle with the honey mustard glaze! Serve and enjoy!

    Substitutions

    • Sweet Apple Chicken Sausage – feel free to substitute for a non-Trader Joe’s chicken sausage such as Aidells or whatever you can find at your local grocery store!
    • Trader Joe’s Holiday Hash – feel free to look up the ingredients in the holiday hash and make your own combination! You may also use brussels sprouts or another non-starchy fall vegetable of choice.
    • Trader Joe’s Frozen Jasmine Rice – You may use brown rice or even make your own rice!
    • Vegetarian– substitute the chicken sausage for great northern beans or cannelini beans to make this recipe vegetarian.

This recipe is already gluten-free and dairy-free as is.

    Variations

    • Spicy – add chili pepper flakes to the dish to add some heat!

This recipe is already toddler and kid-friendly as is!

    Equipment

To make this Trader Joe’s holiday hash bowl, you will need a large baking sheet, although I prefer an XL baking sheet.

If you are in the market for a nice extra large sheet pan, I bought mine off amazon and I am obsessed!
