Storage
Store leftover steak bites in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
You can also freeze them in a freezer-safe container or freezer bag for up to 3 months. Be sure to squeeze out as much air as possible to avoid freezer burn.
To reheat: warm over medium-high heat in a large skillet, or microwave until heated through. Add a splash of beef broth to loosen the sauce if needed.
Top Tip
Use a meat thermometer if subbing in a different cut like top sirloin steak to avoid overcooking. And always slice your butter thinly so it melts evenly across the top.
Dietitian Tip
This recipe is packed with protein, iron, and B vitamins from the beef, plus antioxidants from the mushrooms. Round it out with a fibrous veg like sautéed green beans or a crunchy side salad for a complete meal.
