    If you’re a coffee lover like me, this easy homemade brown sugar latte will quickly become one of your absolute favorites. With just a few simple ingredients, you can enjoy the perfect balance of sweetness and the warm flavors of our cinnamon brown sugar latte without the extra cost of a local coffee shop. Whether you serve it as a hot brown sugar latte or pour it over ice cubes for a refreshing twist, this is a cozy drink you’ll want to make again and again.

    This cozy brown sugar latte is the perfect recipe to warm up your morning or treat yourself in the afternoon. The best part?     Ingredients

    This easy latte recipe comes together in minutes and is made with pantry staples you likely already have:

    • low-fat milk – for a lighter yet creamy texture (use regular milk or a plant-based milk like almond milk or soy milk)
    • shots of espresso – use your espresso machine, nespresso machine or instant coffee with hot water
    • brown sugar – gives this latte its signature brown sugar flavors and caramel depth
    • ground cinnamon – adds a comforting blend of spice and warmth to the drink

    Instructions

    Step 1:Add 1 tablespoon of brown sugar into a mug (if you’re enjoying it hot, or a tall glass if you are enjoying it cold)

    Step 2: Then brew 2 espresso shots using your favorite espresso machine or use instant coffee dissolved in a bit of hot water for a rich espresso base. Use a small spoon to stir the sugar and espresso together.

    Step 3: If you are enjoying your drink hot, add ¾ cup of your milk of choice into a milk frother and froth your milk or you can use a hand frother as well. Pour over your brown sugar and espresso. If you are enjoying this drink cold, add in a handful of ice cubes and then add in your cold milk. Top with a dash of cinnamon and enjoy!

    Substitutions

    Milk: Swap low-fat milk with almond milk, cashew milk, soy milk, or creamy oatmilk for a plant-based version that’s also dairy-free.

    Sweetener: Use maple syrup, vanilla extract, or simple syrup if you’re out of brown sugar.

    Espresso: If you don’t have an espresso machine, try instant coffee or a strong brew from a coffee maker.

    Variations

    • Iced Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espresso: Shake together espresso, brown sugar, and oatmilk with ice cubes in a mason jar for a Starbucks-inspired delicious treat.
